In recent years, the Federal Government and the State of Michigan have enacted a series of laws affecting professional licensure requirements and laws designed to ensure the safety of dental health care professionals and their patients.

All dental professionals (including dentists, hygienists and assistants) are required to have a current (updated every two years) BLS CPR certification. Programs must meet the 2005 ECC standards set by the American Heart Association, American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the American Dental Association.

Every two years everyone at our office is required to take CPR training. However, we prefer to take it every year so as to be as up to date on the procedure as possible!

This year, we devoted a Friday to updating everyone on our staff.
